While the headlights are off
For full output the lenses must be in good shape. Yellowed or scratched lenses scatter light and blur the sharp cut-off. While you are removing the headlights anyway, it pays to replace the covers at the same time.

The kit also works as a high beam. You can keep the original halogen bulbs connected; then both sources shine.
Even complete beginners can do it
The front lenses stay sealed. Everything is done through the bulb opening. Not counting removing and refitting the headlights, it takes one to two hours.

An electrically controlled shield gives you two beams.
The reflector focuses the bulb's light to the lens's focal point. That is where the shield sits. The lens projects a sharp cut-off onto the road.
Low beam
The shield absorbs the lower half of the rays heading into the lens. The lens flips the image so light shines only below the cut-off. The result is a sharp cut-off that rises to the right towards the roadside. As a result, oncoming drivers are not dazzled.
High beam
A solenoid folds the shield down and all the rays pass through the lens. The cut-off disappears and the light shines like the low beam, plus far ahead of the car. The original halogen high beams shine at the same time.
Why original projectors barely shine after years
Inside the original projector, a reflector has a thin chrome layer. Over the years, heat and UV from the bulb burn it off. The surface turns dull or black and light has nothing to bounce off. The bulb shines, but only a fraction of its light reaches the road.

A reflector that lasts much longer
The reflector is made from aluminum. It dissipates heat better, so the chrome lasts much longer than the original, and the reflector doesn't warp. Light bounces off the whole surface, not just what is left of it.
Geometry like modern cars
The reflector, shield and lens follow modern projector design, not the technology from when the car left the factory. More light from the bulb reaches the lens and is then projected onto the road.
Sharp cut-off, clear lens
The shield is laser-cut, so the cut-off is sharp and oncoming drivers are not dazzled. The crystal-clear lens lets through maximum light and leaves the typical blue edge.

The kit is for original Audi A4 / S4 B6 xenon headlights. Have aftermarket Depo headlights? Write to us before you order.
Lenses must be in good condition
Cracked or yellowed lenses disrupt the cut-off, cause glare, and reduce output. We have new headlight covers for this car.
Road use
The kit is not intended for use on public roads.

How do I know I have the right headlights?
The kit fits only factory bi-xenon headlights with a 3-inch lens. It does not fit headlights with the smaller xenon lens or halogen headlights. The surest way is to send us a photo of the front and back of the headlight, and we will confirm whether the kit fits.
Can I fit it myself?
Yes. The lenses stay sealed and the projector is changed from the back after removing the rear headlight cover. A video guide comes with the kit, and if you get stuck, we will help.
Will automatic levelling keep working?
Yes. The original aiming and automatic levelling stay.
What about the high beams?
The original halogen high beams stay. On high beam the solenoid folds the shield down and the projector shines too, so both sources shine.
Do I need to buy new bulbs?
No. The projector takes the same bulb as the original, so your original xenon bulbs in good condition will do.
Full kit description
Audi A4 / S4 B6 (2001–2005) bi-xenon kit contains everything you need to replace the original bi-xenon projectors with new ones. The kit is for factory bi-xenon headlights with a 3-inch lens. The original aiming and automatic levelling stay.
Why original projectors fade over the years
The reflector in the original projector has a thin chrome layer. Over the years, heat from the bulb burns it off, the surface turns dull or black and the light has nothing to bounce off. The bulb still shines, but only part of the light gets out, which is why new bulbs usually don't help.
What changes with the kit
- The reflector is aluminium. It dissipates heat better, doesn't warp and the chrome lasts longer.
- The shield is laser-cut, so the cut-off is sharp and no light goes above it.
- The clear lens lets through as much light as possible and gives the blue cut-off edge.
- The original halogen high beams stay connected. On high beam the solenoid folds the shield down and the projector shines too.
Measurement
In our measurement, a typically worn original projector gave 435 lx and the projector from our kit 5,995 lx. We measured with a lux meter on the same wall from 3.5 m, with the same bulb and ballast.

Bulbs are not included. The projector takes the same bulb as the original, so your original xenon bulbs in good condition will do.
Fitting
The kit is plug & play: no cutting or drilling, and the lenses stay sealed. The projector is changed from the back after removing the rear headlight cover. - The kit is only for factory bi-xenon headlights with a 3-inch lens. It does not fit headlights with the smaller xenon lens, halogen headlights or Cabriolet headlights. Not sure? Send us a photo of the front and back of the headlight and we will check.
- Aftermarket headlights (such as DEPO): write to us before you order.
- The lenses must be in good condition. Yellowed or cracked lenses scatter the cut-off. We also have new covers for the A4 B6.
- The kit is not intended for use on public roads. Fitting and use are the vehicle owner's responsibility.
