Audi TT mk1 98 - 06 Bi-xenon set
Bi-xenon retrofit kit for the Audi TT mk1 that replaces the original faded xenon projectors with modern bi-xenon projectors, keeping the original headlight aiming and automatic levelling.
Even complete beginners can do it
The front lenses stay sealed. Everything is done through the bulb opening. Not counting removing and refitting the headlights, it takes one to two hours.

An electrically controlled shield gives you two beams.
The reflector focuses the bulb's light to the lens's focal point. That is where the shield sits. The lens projects a sharp cut-off onto the road.
Low beam
The shield absorbs the lower half of the rays heading into the lens. The lens flips the image so light shines only below the cut-off. The result is a sharp cut-off that rises to the right towards the roadside. As a result, oncoming drivers are not dazzled.
High beam
A solenoid folds the shield down and all the rays pass through the lens. The cut-off disappears and the light shines like the low beam, plus far ahead of the car. The original halogen high beams shine at the same time.
Why original projectors barely shine after years
Inside the original projector, a reflector has a thin chrome layer. Over the years, heat and UV from the bulb burn it off. The surface turns dull or black and light has nothing to bounce off. The bulb shines, but only a fraction of its light reaches the road.

A burnt original projector next to a new one from our kit. Drag the slider.
A reflector that lasts much longer
The reflector is made from aluminum. It dissipates heat better, so the chrome lasts much longer than the original, and the reflector doesn't warp. Light bounces off the whole surface, not just what is left of it.
Geometry like modern cars
The reflector, shield and lens follow modern projector design, not the technology from when the car left the factory. More light from the bulb reaches the lens and is then projected onto the road.
Sharp cut-off, clear lens
The shield is laser-cut, so the cut-off is sharp and oncoming drivers are not dazzled. The crystal-clear lens lets through maximum light and leaves the typical blue edge.
Before you order
Only for original xenon headlights
The kit is for original Audi TT mk1 xenon headlights. Have aftermarket Depo headlights? Write to us before you order.
Lenses must be in good condition

The kit is not intended for use on public roads.
Frequently asked questions
Did not find your answer? Write to us.
How do I know I have original xenons?
Your headlight will carry the car maker’s logo or be made by Hella, AL or ZKW. The surest way is to send us a photo of the back of the headlight. We will confirm whether the kit fits.
Can I fit it myself?
Yes. Every kit comes with a guide, and if you get stuck, we will help.
Will automatic leveling still work?
Yes. The original aiming and automatic leveling stay. Because the new projectors mount on the original fixings, the retrofit comes with no compromises.
What about high beams?
The kit also works as a high beam. You can keep the original halogen high beam connected; then both sources shine.
Can I use LED bulbs?
Yes, if they have a base.
Full kit description
Our retrofit kit for Audi TT mk1 (8N) (98 - 06) contains everything you need to replace the original xenon projectors (xenon only illuminates the low beam) to a much more powerful bi-xenon projectors (xenon lights for low beam and high beam) with keeping the original adjustment and automatic levelling of the lights.
The main advantages of our bi-xenon projectors
- Multiply stronger light output
- A high beam source will be added, the original high beams may or may not be retained. It's up to you.
- Projectors are unlike the original made from aluminiumso that it won't warp or burn even after years. At the same time, they also help to better dissipate heat, which makes the projector chrome has a longer life than the original lights.
- The projector's aperture is laser cut to achieve the most accurate light refraction. At the same time, it does not let any light above the refraction, so it does not glare on oncoming vehicles.
- Projectors have crystal clear lenswhich is used for maximum brightness and leaves a blue coloured refraction.
This is a straightforward retrofit that even complete beginners can handle. There is no need to separate the front lenses of the headlights. Everything can be done through the bulb replacement opening, and apart from removing and reinstalling the headlights on the car, you can expect the process to take one to two hours.
The kit is assembled to be completely Plug & Play, which means that there is no need to modify anything for the installation. We also create for each car video tutorial, which will completely guide you through the installation, or we can help you with the installation via phone, email or social media.
The set includes two bi-xenon projectors, cables from the aperture electromagnets, bulb holders, two adapters, all necessary fasteners for installation, cable connectors for connection to the original driving lights.
The projector fits the original D2S xenon lamps, so there is no need to purchase new ones for the conversion. LEDs with D2S socket can also be used.
The set is designed for OEM Xenon headlights. For use in Depo aftermarket lights, please contact us.
