Replacing the cover

How hard is the replacement

How hard it is depends on the adhesive that bonds the lens to the housing. In practice, it is mostly butyl or permanent adhesive. Your headlight uses butyl adhesive, so it opens easily.

For a perfect seal, we recommend our butyl sealant. It is easy to work with, and if needed, you can reopen the headlight with a heat gun or in an oven.

Headlight covers for Mercedes ML W164 05-08

Original headlight covers often suffer from yellowing, cracks, stone chips or weathering. Our covers match the original shape and are coated with a layer of UV-resistant polyurethanewhich protects against future damage and yellowing.

The cover is the same for halogen and xenon headlights. It does not fit ML W164 facelift (08+).

The package contains the lens (headlight cover); the Pair option is 2 pieces.

For a perfect seal we recommend 9.5mm x 4.5m butyl gasket. It is easy to work with and if it is necessary you can then simply unstick the light using a heat gun or oven.
